Hello Everybody!
Believe it or not, today is my first blogging birthday!
The year has gone by so fast and I don't know where that time has gone!

I remember sitting in my bedroom last year contemplating the idea of starting a blog. That was on the 9th May 2015, I suppose thats my real blogging anniversary, but I only posted once and the blog was abandoned until this day last year. 23rd August 2015. That was the day I decided to forget whatever I was worrying about and go for it.

Once again, I'm sat here not knowing what to say! My year of blogging has been an adventure. I remember starting my blog and thinking, no ones going to read this, I'm wasting my time, but then I started getting views and comments from lovely readers, some of which still comment today! (Thank you!)
I remember hitting 100 views, then 1000 and here I am now, with now over 10,000 views, which is insane!
I don't really have much to say apart from thank you so so so so much, all of your support honestly means the absolute world to me.
I love you so much!

Let me know in the comments below what your favourite posts have been and what you would like to see in the future!

I will see you very very soon!

Happy birthday blog!
Here's to another year of blogging! *clink*

Sunday, 21 August 2016

Hello Everybody!
You may be aware that it is coming up to my blogs first birthday! So today, I thought I would share with you some things I have learnt through past year!

1. Write what YOU want to write

I learnt this pretty early in my blogging journey and I think its something everyone should know. Don't write because you think thats what people want to read, because if you yourself, aren't enjoying what you are writing about, theres a pretty big chance your readers won't enjoy it either. To this day, I still struggle with this and it is something that I find hard, but I'm definitely becoming more aware of this as I continue. But, obviously, keep in mind your readers at the same time and the purpose of your blog!

2. It's okay to take breaks

Around two or three months ago, I took a very long break in my blogging, which, at the time, I really regretted doing. I was afraid that all the work I had put into my blog would go and, even though I really wanted to start blogging again, I just couldn't come up with ideas that I liked or thought would be interesting to read.
As for this point, I think I realised this around two weeks ago. Its okay to take breaks, whether thats a week or a month. Don't put yourself under too much pressure, sometimes a break is what you need, to get yourself and your ideas together.
Also, don't put yourself under too much pressure to post a certain day every week. When I started my blog, I wanted to post every Sunday and if I missed a Sunday, I HAD to have a good excuse for it and put the post up on Monday!
If you know you probably can't keep to that schedule, don't fully set it in the first place. I still like Sunday to be the day I post, it will always be in the back of my mind that a post should be going up, but if I miss it, now, I've learnt that it's okay.

3. Don't be afraid to have your own opinions

I started doing some of my thoughts posts very early on and they are still to this day some of my favourite ones I've ever done! I think if you can have your own opinion on your blog, it defines who you are and people will appreciate you more for being honest, but also, they are just nice because you can get out whatever you are thinking. Don't be afraid to let your thoughts go!

4. Dont compare your style to others!

Everyone has a unique blogging style, so don't compare your blog to other peoples and think their blog is way better than mine, because they will have a completely different style. Obviously, looking at other peoples blogs and seeing how their style could help improve your own and getting some inspiration is good, but don't get too carried away comparing them.

I hope that these four tips have inspired you or helped you in some sort of way! If you are thinking of starting a blog, 100% go for it! Let me know some of your own blogging tips in the comments below!
I love you all so much and I'll see you very soon !

Hello Everybody!
So I have a post which is going up on Sunday, but I have just found out right now that I have just hit 10,000 views on my blog!
I know this really isn't a lot compared to many other blogs, but 10,000 views on blog in this past year is insane to me and I just can't believe it!
I just wanted to say thank you so so so so so so much it honestly means the world!
I love you all very much!
I'll see you Sunday!

Labels? They surround us, labels on clothes, products, stereotypes, they're are on people. Lets take clothes for an example. There any many different brands of clothing, but they seem to be divided into high end and low end, the same with make up. There seems to be a set clothing type for different people and it divides people. But the worst part is, it seems that it is the same thing with people. Rich, poor, religion, sexuality, race, the list goes on. These different 'labels' define who people are, the different groups that they are in, who they are 'allowed' to talk to. But this isn't right. The different 'labels' shouldn't be allowed to define who we are like they dominate it now. Yet, we all still let it happen, labelling people without realising we are doing it and its wrong. We all need to step back and think about labelling people the next time we do it.

I haven't said Hello yet, so Hi! I haven't done a thoughts post in a while, so I thought I would share this with you. Let me know your own thoughts on this issue in the comments below! I hope you enjoyed this post! See you very soon!

Hello Everybody!
So its been a while! So, the first thing I should probably talk about is my long absence from this blog!  I really haven't had much inspiration to write, so I haven't because I didn't want to just put something on here which I wasn't happy with. Also, I ended up posting the same sort of stuff, so I think having the break which I had, allowed me to come up with some fresh ideas and know more about blogging. It is also coming up to my one year of blogging, so I wanted to make sure I was posting again for that!
Okay, anyway, today I am going to be talking about the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette!
I got this palette for my birthday in May, after wanting it for absolutely ages!
Okay, so the first thing I am going to talk about is the price. I am just going to throw it out there that this palette is a higher end piece of make up and was actually on the pricier side. I would also just like to say that I am in no way trying to brag or anything like that, I am doing this review so that those of you who might want to get this palette and aren't sure if its worth the price can get a better view of it etc.

The Urban Decay Naked Palettes are around £38.50, which is quite a lot to fork out when it comes to an eyeshadow palette. I wasn't really sure if I wanted to spend this much on a palette, so I waited and spent the time reading reviews about it and choosing which Naked Palette I thought I would use the most (out of the 1, 2, 3 and smoky). I ended up choosing the Naked 2 Palette, because it mainly consists of the brown, golds and more nude colours than some of the other palettes. The palette is a long one, consisting of 12 different shades:
Foxy- Foxy is a beautiful nude colour, which I like to use as a base all over my eye. This is one of the matte shades in the palette and is one of the best nude base colours I've tried!
from left: Foxy, half baked, bootycall, chopper, tease and
Half Baked- I love this shade! This is a lovely light gold-y shade and it has little bits of shimmer through it. This comes out better than any gold which I have tried before, but I find that blending it is key! I usually apply this with a brush, but if you want a brighter base colour, I would apply this with a clean finger, because it comes out even brighter!
Bootycall- I think this shade is a really nice highlighter shade for underneath the eyebrow or in the inner corner of your eye. It has a really nice shimmer and looks amazing in the light! It isn't my favourite highlighter which I have used, but it works really well with the shades in the palette and can be quite subtle, but also a statement look!
Chopper- I haven't used this shade as much as some of the other shades in the palette. but in the times when I have, it looked amazing! It is a more pinky, rosegold shade, again a shimmer shade, which looks really nice as a base with YDK through the crease (or vice versa!). I think it could also work really well with the shade tease!
Tease- Tease is one of my favourite shades in the whole palette! It is a beautiful matte light brown shade is perfect for a casual make up look. I think this looks really nice with the Maybeline 24 hour colour tattoos in the nude brown shade, with tease through the crease!
Snakebite- This is a dark gold shade, which is verging on brown. I think this can look really nice with Half baked, even though it is quite a bit darker, if it is blended properly. It can also look lovely with the shade suspect!
Suspect- Suspect is a light brown shimmery shade. I think Suspect fits in really well with the darker shades in the palette and works really well with verve and a little bit of tease mixed together!
Pistol- Pistol is the dark brown shimmer shade in the palette. I think this shade goes really nice with the shade busted, although they are both quite dark, so its definitely not the type of thing that you would wear in summer! But I think that these shades would look really nice in the Autumn/ Winter time!
from left: suspect, pistol, verve, ydk, busted and blackout
suVerve- Verve is another highlight type shade, but with a bit more of a brown tint. This is a bit dark to go with some of the lighter shades, but with some of the browns, this looks lovely!
Ydk- This is a shimmer shade, with a hint of pink running through it! This looks lovely with Chopper, but also works well with verve! I love how this shade comes out!
Busted- Busted is the darker shade of brown in the palette. I'd say its more matte than some of the other brown shades, but it still has a bit of shimmer running through it! This shade is personally a bit dark for me and isn't my favourite, however, I think this shade looks lovely smoked across the lash line!
Blackout- Blackout is the matte black shade which comes out so well! Again, this shade is a bit dark for me, as I don't really suit the dark shades, but again, this works really well as a shadow liner!

The palette comes in a box which obviously has the palette in, but also has mini eye primer samples! There are a few different ones- original, eden, sin and anti-aging! I haven't used these much, I have only actually tried the original one, but I have to say, it made the colours a little brighter and last a bit longer.

The palette also comes with a two sided brush, I tend to use the fluffier side of the brush for applying the eyeshadow as for me it works better, but I like to use the thinner sharper end of the brush when i'm doing something like shadow liner, or putting the colour through the crease.

This palette is obviously quite expensive, so it's not something you see in Superdrug, however, some boots stores sell it at the higher end counters, along with the other brands like urban decay, benefit, clinque etc.
You can also pick this up from some Debenhams stores, John Lewis, Feel Unique, usually with the places that sell higher end make up. Obviously, you can also pick this up from the Urban Decay website!

I hope this review has helped you in some sort of way and that you have enjoyed it! If you did, let me know in the comments below and maybe give it a plus one and share it with your friends! Also, let me know if you have any of the Naked Palette's/ which one is your favourite! Let me know your favourite shade too! I will hopefully
see you soon!

Hello Everybody!
So its been a while! Sorry about that :(
Anyway, on with the post!

So you may be aware that Zoë has recently introduced her new beauty product range, sweet inspirations! The range was released in May and I have recently managed to pick some of the products up from my local superdrug store, so I thought I would review them for you all!

There are eight new products in the range, which are actually quite different from some of the products which she has released before, but she's actually kept some of the original products which you would have seen in the previous ranges. The scent is quite a sweet scent, which for some people, might put them off, but it really isn't a strong sweet scent, it's actually quite a soft kind of smell. The scent itself is a macaron kind of scent, enriched with almond scents. This scent might possibly be my favourite of all of her ranges so far, even topping the tutti fruitti range, which is amazing!

So the first thing which I picked up from the range was the bath latte which is probably my favourite product from the whole range. With this, you basically just pour a bit into your bath and swish (??) it around and it creates the most amazing bubbles! I believe you can also use this in the shower! The latte is actually a lot thicker in consistency than I expected and doesn't really need that much to create lots of bubbles! As for the packaging, its in a really cute plastic bottle, which a copper, gold style cap and a beautiful blue rap around it and gold patterning! I love it! This was £6.00, which I think is amazing value for what you get and also, if you want, you could keep the bottle afterwards! (Thats probably what I'm going to do!)

The next thing which I picked up from the range was the Double Crème body lotion. I have the both the body lotion from the old ranges, so it made sense to get this one, to finish off a set really! This one is very like the original body lotion which Zoë released, unlike the tutti frutti one which had the bursting beads in it. I love all of Zoë's body lotions because they aren't really thick and its really light on the hands, they don't leave your hands feeling really greasy or anything like that and also, a little bit goes a really long way! The packaging on this product is baby pinks and golds, which I think goes really well with the ranges colour theme. This was £5.00, which again, I think is a really reasonable price!

I also picked up the Sugar Dip scented bath salts.  I haven't actually tried these yet, so I don't want to babble on about them too much, because it would be pointless! But with these, you basically just sprinkle a few of them underneath the tap and let the magic happen! Zoë also included a little sticker in the box to reseal them with, which I thought was a really cool idea! I absolutely adore the packaging on this! They are basically in a little pink bag inside the box which kind of reminds me of a little sweet bag. This is inside a little pyramid which is so pretty, I won't want to throw it away after I've used them all! This was £6.00!

The next thing I picked up was the little life is sweet beauty bag. This is a small baby blue beauty bag which has cute little frills at the edges. It's very small, so I don't think that I'm going to use it for makeup, however, I will probably be using this for a little handbag tidy type thing. I think this would be perfect for receipts, coins, keys, cards and even small bits of make up that I don't want floating around in my bag! I love this bag, its so cute! I love the font which is used on the bag, the gold and blue go amazing together! I also love that the letters are sort of engraved into the bag, I think its amazing!

The last thing that I picked up was the Candy Clutch. I absolutely love this. I like the fact that you can use it at two different sizes- you can either fold it down, or have it up. I have actually decided to use mine in the bigger version and put all of my eyeshadow pallets into it. On one side of the bag, is a shiny white, plastic coat type thing and on the other side, is the bumpy, fabric texture, which reminds me of beach huts. I think this is a really good size make up bag and fits quite a lot in! This is the most expensive product in the range, at £12.00, but I definitely think that it is worth the money!

Also in the range is the fizz bar, called le Fizz, however, I decided to not to get this, because I don't enjoy fizz bars that much in general. Saying that, I have heard some great reviews for this! There is also the body mist which I will 100% be picking up, however, they didn't have it in my local superdrug, when I last checked, but when I see it, I will be picking it up. There is also the body fondant which looks amazing, so highlighted and shimmery, which I thing will look amazing in pictures and also in the summer! I can't wait to try this! I will let you know what I think when I get it!

Again, I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks, I will be posting again soon!
I love you all a lot!

Hello Everybody!
So you may have noticed I haven't posted in a while after I said I would be posting more, but I just found that I haven't had much inspiration to write at all and I didn't want to give you a short and not very well written post.
I love writing this blog and sometimes, I feel like I've made up an opinion, so that you can read it, but I want to keep it real on my blog, so thats what I'm going to focus on doing.
Also, while having a little bit of a break from my blog, I have realised that I'm going to now post when I want to post and have a good idea for a post rather than when I feel like I should post. Nothings going to change around here, just that I might not post every single week or there might be a few posts very close together then a few spread out, I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see!

Thank you for sticking around!

Hello Everybody!

IT'S SPRING! That means its time to crack out those bright and pastel colours! So today, I thought I would share with you my top 3 lip products, which I think are great around this time of year!

Collection Work the Colour Lip Butter
Overal Rating: 8/10

3 Vintage Rose
Okay, so the first one that I think is a real Spring pink is Collection Moisturising Lip Butter in the shade 3 vintage rose. The first thing which I am going to point out, is the price. This £2.99 and possibly one of the best £2.99's i have ever spent make-up wise! This is one of my favourite lip products of all time. I recently found out that this is a really good dupe for the Burberry Feather Pink Lip mist at a much more affordable price! So the colour itself, actually does out as a bit of a salmony pink colour, which doesn't sound too great, but on the lips, it looks amazing! I really like this lip butter because it is really moisturising and it doesn't leave my lips feeling quite dried out and matte as it would if it was a lipstick. Also, I love the shape of the actual product because it is like a lip crayon type thing, which I know is pretty standard for a lip butter or crayon, but I just find that it is so much easier to apply like this, because you an really get a fine outline on the lips! I would rate this a good 8/10 because the colour is lovely, it applies well and comes out just as colourful as advertised. My only fault with it, which isn't really a problem, is that it doesn't last for a particularly long amount of time, which I know is pretty standard for a lip butter, but I just think it would be that tiny bit better if it lasted slightly longer! But overall, this product is definitely worth the purchase!

Tanya Burr Afternoon Tea Lip Gloss
Overal Rating: 6/10

(I apologise  in advance for the bad lighting and quality  of this photo, I really envy those with the amazing photography skills who get this perfect!)

I got this lipgloss last year for my birthday, which was about a month and a half before the new products came out in the new packaging and things were tweaked slightly. So don't get me wrong, I LOVE this lipgloss and if I didn't love it, I wouldn't be recommending it to you as one of my top Spring lips, but as you may know, they new range was brought out and all of the packaging changed and I know the formula did too and during this time I think the shade changed slightly and is now more glittery than it used to be? I don't know what for certain, so someone let me know in the comments, because I would love to know!
So obviously, I cant talk about the new afternoon tea, so I'm going to talk about the one that I have. IF the shade has changed from the old pastel pink shade, I'm really sorry that I have talked about it in the old packaging and formula!
Afternoon Tea
Okay, so in the old packaging, it is a beautiful pastel style pink shade, which comes out slightly lighter when applied to the lips compared to the bottle. I think the consistency is great and it doesn't slide about on the lips and it lasts a long time, however, this does mean that it is quite sticky, but I believe this issue has been resolved in the new collection, so theres nothing to worry about there any more! Also, the applicator is quite a bit thinner than a regular applicator which usually comes with lip glosses. I think this is great because it means that the gloss can slide across the lips a lot easier and can be applied more accurately. The reason why I have given this a 6/10 is because of a few reasons, one of them being that it is quite sticky. The lip gloss is also scented which is a really nice touch. I know the new style is meant to smell like watermelons, however, in the old style, I can't smell watermelon! I really like the smell of it and I don't like watermelon, so either it's watermelon and I can't smell it or the scent has changed! The lip gloss is £5.99, which is a bit more expensive than some other lip glosses which you would find in Superdrug, but is definitely worth the purchase, especially if the tweaks have been made! Please bare in mind that the rating I have given this lip gloss is based on the old style and I'm sure if I tried the new style ones, my rating would be much higher! Please leave suggestions for other Tanya Burr lip glosses which I might like and whether or not they have changed from the old style!

Rimmel Kate Moss 38
Overal Rating: 9/10

This has got to be my favourite lipstick! I used it so much last year and I can't wait to crack it back out again now it is Spring and going into Summer!
This lipstick was £5.49 from the Rimmel range by Kate Moss. This shade is a lot more salmony than the Collection shade, which again, doesn't sound great, but it looks amazing! I think this lipstick would look good on all lip types as it is a gorgeous pale pink shade and isn't too bold for people, like me, who don't like to stand out as much as others!
This lipstick applies perfectly and smoothly and only really needs one coat, which of course, you could top up if you wanted it a bit brighter! Also, it lasts for ages and doesn't come off straight away, like some lipsticks do! An added bonus is that it smells great! I'm not great at describing smells, so I'll give it a go, but if you have a Rimmel 38, let me know what you think it smells like! It's quite a sweet smell, sort of vanilla-ry, but its also quite a soft smell, if that makes any sense at all! It smells so good!
Rimmel 38
The packaging is quite basic and compact, so it doesn't take up a lot of room in my make up bag, which is brilliant! The lid is at a slight slant at the top and has the rimmel crown logo on the top which is really nice. I like how it is really simple and just says Kate on it. It's very different to some of my other lipsticks, so its very easy to find!
I have given this a 9/10, because I can't really fault it, it is an amazing price for what it is and definitely worth the purchase! I think the only thing that stops it from getting a ten is that I know there are much better lipsticks that you can get, but this will be my favourite until I find an even better one!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and got some great suggestions for some lovely spring pink lip products! Let me know some of your own favourites in the comments below and if you have any of the above, let me know what you think of them! I love reading and replying to your comments!

I'll see you soon!

Hello Everybody!
It's time for another thoughts post!

The world which we live in today is dominated by the media, internet (which I am part of!) and many other platforms which put a lot of pressure on girls and boys growing up. It can also cause a lot of worry to people. I feel like the internet and media changes the way people think, especially when there are many negative areas to the internet. And, lets face it, it can be a scary place.

With new technology, generations etc always developing and becoming bigger and bigger, it is easy to be persuaded and pulled into someone who, deep down, you might not want to be. To be happy, in my opinion, you need to be doing something that you love and feel passionate about. Why do what you hate, when you could be doing something that you love? Be who you want to be, not who others want you to be.

So yeah, thats about it for this weeks post! I'm so sorry this is late again! I know this is really short, I just thought I would share a few of these thoughts with you! Let me know some of your thoughts below!

Hello Everybody!
I popped into Lush the other day and picked up three bath bombs, so I thought that I would review each of them individually over the next few weeks. First up is... Fluffy Egg!

I'm going to start with the scent. I was told by the lovely Lush worker, that it had the same scent as Snow Fairy, a very popular christmas shower gel, but I didn't actually know what that scent was because I haven't tried it. However, I thought that it had a similar scent to my all time favourite lush bubble bar, candy mountain. So I have to say, I was very excited to find this as I haven't been about to get Candy Mountain, due to it being a christmas one. If you haven't smelt Candy Mountain or Snow Fairy, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, so let me describe it for you. Imagine a sweet, candy floss like, calming scent, then put that in your bath. For me, thats the perfect bath. Unlike Candy Mountain, which was a bubble bar, fluffy egg is a bath bomb, which means that you drop it (not from a ridiculously high point), a couple of centimetres above the water and it fizzes out until it is all gone and the bath is a new colour.
Photo from the Lush website

Fluffy egg is a hot pink bath bomb, which is in the shape of an egg. On either side, there is a small yellow (I think there are many different colours, but mine was yellow!) flower. When you drop it into the water, the water turns the same colour as the bath bomb. It smelt amazing. The scent definitely filled much of the house and you could smell it every where you went. If you haven't smelt this, make sure you take a trip into lush and smell it, just so you know the joy which I have smelt!

I would definitely recommend this bath bomb, as it smells amazing and is great value for money, at £2.95. I will 100% be going into Lush to buy another few before easter is over!

Let me know your favourite easter, or any of the Lush products in the comments below! Also let me know which ones you want me to try and then review for you!

I know this is only short, but I thought it would be interesting for you to read, so let me know in the comments what you thought of it and whether or not I should do it again.

Thank you for reading!

*Unfortunately, I forgot to take my own photos, so I took this one off the Lush website. For the next one, I will remember to take my own!*

Hello Everybody!
It is currently still winter and in the UK, temperatures are still getting colder! So today, I thought I would share with you a few of my winter essentials which are helping me get through the cold weather.

Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Butter

I have mentioned this before, and that would be because I am obsessed with it. From the actual product, to the scent, I love it! The Body Shop sell so many amazing scents and you can get this body butter in so many! But the one which I have, is Vineyard Peach. As for the actual product, it is the best body butter I have ever tried. Now, thats quite a bold statement considering I have tried quite a few different body butters. I think the main reason why i like this is because it isn't sticky and it doesn't leave my hands feeling all greasy and grimy. This is perfect for things like dry feet or just moisturising in general. This is slightly more on the pricey side at £14.00. I actually brought this as part of a set for £7.50 in an outlet store in the christmas sales. However, when I run out of this, I will definitely be going to buy a new one, full price, from the body shop. No doubts about it! If you haven't tried this, go into your local body shop and take a look! You can even try out the different scents with their testers, I guarantee that you will find one that you like!

EOS lip balm

You may have heard of these lip balms, I know they were particularly popular around this time last year. I have to admit, at the time, I wasn't really sure what the big hype was about and why they were so expensive, (£6.50) for a lip balm. However, I do really like mine.  The one I actually have is Passion Fruit, which is the purple one. I like this brand in particular because it doesn't have that horrible sticky, slimy texture to it and it leaves my lips feeling soft and not chapped for quite a while, even if I'm out in the cold! I know you can get these from Urban Outfitters, but other than that, I haven't seen them any where else. The EOS website is and they sell them all on there, but if you are from the UK, you can't change the currency to English. I know they also sell them on the boots website, so just have a look around and I'm sure you will find them!

One place I always find gets quite cold in the wind and cold weather is my neck, so I have actually been wearing my scarf quite a bit recently. The one which I have is a check one from Peacocks, which was £5, but I know they sell a really similar one in Primark for the same price. I really like slightly longer scarfs at the moment, but aren't wooly, so I found this one at the start of November and I fell in love. I like it because you can wrap it around yourself and stay nice and warm even in the freezing cold weather.

Zoella Creamy Madly Dreamy Body Lotion

I prefer to use this on my hands, opposed to the Body Butter from the Body Shop and this is also quite a bit cheaper. I find that Zoe's body lotion is so much nicer on my hands because you can massage it in and again, it isn't sticky. I actually have both of her body lotions and I use them both on a regular basis. I know she also has a hand cream, which I haven't actually tried yet. But if your looking for a good body lotion or hand cream at a affordable price, definitely try this because I love it. It also has a really lo
vely scent, which actually reminds me of winter!

Wooly Jumpers

Who doesn't love a wooly jumper? I know I do! And, lets face it, they are perfect for this type of weather! I actually only have two wooly jumpers, a cream one, from Blue Inc, and a black one, from New Look. I tend to wear my wooly jumpers with jeans, usually ripped. I find that wooly jumpers go with most things, I'm just not that adventurous!

Zoella Soak Opera

I love this. I use every bath, except from when I use a bath bomb. You can actually use it as a shower gel and a bubble bath. I don't use it as shower gel, I use it for the bubbles. This has the original scent, which I really like and is perfect for relaxing after cold, stressful day. What better way to relax than in a nice hot bath?

Treaclemoon Iced Strawberry Dream Shower Gel

For the past few weeks, I have used this every bath and shower. I love the scent of it and there are so many different ones to choose from. The one which I have is the Ice Strawberry Dream scent and it smells amazing. I got mine from Tesco, but I know you can get them in Superdrug. They are definitely worth the purchase and for me is a real winter staple. The scent is really fresh, which kind of reminds me of summer. It is helping get through the cold weather, when what I want now is the sun! This is also super affordable and is pretty impossible not to love! If you have tried any of the other scents, let me know which ones you like, because I'm getting to the end of mine and I don't want to have to
go without one!

Yankee Candles (particularly christmassy ones!)

In the last paragraph, I said that I wanted summer, I am now going to contradict that! I have recently discovered Yankee Candles and I have fallen in love! I have got a few left over from christmas, so I have been burning them over the past few weeks, holding onto the christmas spirit as much as I can, even 2 months later! The ones which I have really loved recently are Snowflake Cookie and Sparkling Snow. To be fair, any Yankee Candle I will be happy with, but christmas ones at the moment are my life...

Limited 12 Colour Eyeshadow Palette

Finally, an eyeshadow palette. I got this a couple of weeks ago from Marks and Spencer. I was £12, so a bit more pricey than drugstore eyeshadow palettes, but I've actually used it quite a big and is good value for money. Although, I do have to say that some of the lighter shades don't come out very strong, I think they would definitely work better with an eyeshadow base. But other than that, I am obsessed with it. It has every shade which you could want, from gold shades, to smoky shades! I think this is perfect for the winter when you want an easy eye look or you just want a palette with a wide range of shades!

I hope you enjoyed this little winter essentials post, let me know some of your own essentials in the comments below. Also, share this post with your friends and give it a good ol' +1. (I like those!)

Also, if any of you know a good site where I can get a cheap domain, let me know because I w
ould really like my own domain. Make sure to link it below, so I can take a look! Additionally, if any of you know how to create a good blogger template/ layout on the standard version, let me know, because I would quite like to make my blog look a bit nicer! I would be very grateful!

Thank you for reading!
See you next week for another post!

Hello Everybody!
Lets just get the shame out of the way to start... this post is late again.
Recently, I have been struggling a bit with ideas for posts and coming up with good ideas that will be worth your time. Lets be fair, there are so many ideas for posts which would have been perfect for this weeks post, like pancake day or Valentines, but (1) I am no chef (2) There are so many people who would already have put up pancake recipes (3) I can't make pancakes for the life of me!
Then I had a few ideas for a Valentines day inspired hair look, but I didn't manage to perfect it enough to be worthy for my blog. Check back later on in the week for a hair tutorial (hopefully!) which I will be posting! So for this weeks post, I decided to look back as a few of my previous posts and I came across my new years resolutions post, which seemed to be quite popular and many of you commented your resolutions, which got me thinking.

Am I actually achieving my new years resolutions?

The answer to that: no. If you haven't seen my post on resolutions, (I'll leave a link at the end, so if you wanted, you can check that out!) my resolutions were:

-Drink more water
-Do more of what makes me happy
-Continue to post on this blog and improve the content *looks down in shame*

So, if I were to break this down.

Drink more water.
Well, lets just say, it's not been going too well. Okay, I'll be fair to myself, I didn't do too bad in January, I had at least one glass most days. However, (you knew there would be one...) in February, it hasn't been going great. I have had one glass so far throughout the entirety of this month. Oops.

Do more of what makes me happy.
This is more of a long term goal and not something which you can really achieve in the space of a month and a half. But, yes, I suppose you could say this is the one which I'm doing best at!

Continue posting on this blog and improving the content.
Well, not everything goes to plan does it? I do still want to continue posting on this blog and to think that I have been since August is crazy! I believe that my problem is trying to come up with ideas that people will enjoy! I have so many unfinished posts where I have thought people won't enjoy this, why am I wasting my time?! I don't know, let me know if you get this too and how you combat the problem!

I don't know if this was interesting to any of you, but it was actually quite interesting to write because it gave me motivation to try and start doing them again! Let me know what your new years resolutions were, if you had any, and how they are going for you! Make sure to check back later in the week for a (hopefully) valentines day inspired hair tutorial!
Also, let me know what types of this you would like to see on my blog!
Thank you for sticking by!

I love you all!

Hello Everybody!
Today, it's time for one of my thoughts posts! You guys really seem to enjoy them, so I thought I would share a few of my current thoughts with you! Let me know your own opinion on this subject in the comments below!
I have read many things lately, which talk about beauty and what natural beauty really is. Of course, we all have our own opinions on whether or not things like airbrushing and photoshopping naturally beautiful pictures is wrong or right.
Personally, I believe it is wrong. Why try to cover up imperfections, when you can seek natural beauty from within?
As the wise Caspar Lee says, I don't talk to ugly girls (or boys!) because they don't exist.
Whatever you look like, I don't know you, but I know you are beautiful. Size, race, religion. None of these should matter, we are all people! So why should there be a category?
One day, I hope to live in a world, where none of these things matter. Why do they? I don't know. They don't.
It makes people feel insecure about themselves, about not being the "perfect looking person", about them not being pretty. Causes like this one are one of the biggest problems to people becoming happier within themselves.
Always remember.
If you feel beautiful, you are beautiful.
If you want to wear something, wear it, if you want to wear your hair a certain way, do it. You are your own person and nobody, and I mean nobody, can tell you what makes you happy.

Let me know your own opinion in the comments below! If there are any other topic which you want me to talk about, let me know there too!
Sorry this post was late again!

Hello Everybody!
So I have some explaining to do...
I haven't posted in about 2 weeks, which is actually quite a long time for me. I haven't posted because I haven't had much inspiration to write and whenever I started a post, I didn't like it, so my drafts are now FULL of posts which I have started and not finished! I will be going back to normal from now on and I have a couple of posts planned and I am in the middle of writing next weeks post (which should have been this weeks!) Anyway, on with the actual post!
As you may have realised (or I should hope you have!) it isn't technically the end of the month yet, however, the post which I have been writing isn't yet finished, so I didn't want to post it without pictures or anything and it just being really bad, so I thought I would swap round the post order. I was going to do this post next week, but hey, who cares?!
I haven't done a proper favourites post in quite a while and I have A LOT of favourites at the moment, so I thought that I would share them with you!

The Body Shop Body Butter- Vineyard Peach

I am obsessed with this at the moment! I got this in the boxing day sales as a set of two for £7.50. I gave the other one to my mum, but the one which I have is the Vineyard peach scent. It is a very peachy scent, but it smells AMAZING. I love putting this on my legs, feet, hands etc. I like the fact that its not overly greasy, so after I have used it, it doesn't leave my hands too sticky or slimy. It is a really nice consistency. To be honest, I can't fault it and I use it all the time! The Body Shop have so many amazing scents, so if you haven't checked them out, defiantly do! I've heard so many people recommend The Body Shop's fragrance mists, so I really want to try that! If you have any suggestions for a particular scent, let me know in the comments!

Zoella Body Mists

I have both of Zoë's body mists, both of which I have started using so much more in the past month! I originally only had the original scent, but I started to use it quite a lot and I really like the tutti fruity scent, so I went out and brought it. I really like these because
they are both really nice scents. I found that the classic scent is a lot stronger when you spray it and it is a really nice warm scent. Obviously, the tutti fruity one is the summer collection (and I brought it in the middle of winter!), so it is a much lighter scent, but I love them both! These are both £8.00, which I personally think is a great value for money!

Yankee Candles

Over the past month to two months, I have developed a slight obsession with candles! I have several candles, but the three which I particularly love are part of the christmas collection. These three are snowflake cookie, christmas eve and snow in love. Making the most of those christmas scents! Plus, the christmas scents are half price at the moment! I have the little small jars because I thought that these were really cute and would look really nice on my shelf. Snowflake cookie is a really lovely scent, which you don't expect to be very strong, but when you burn it, it fills the room with a really christmassy cookie smell, which I adore. Snow in love is quite a subtle scent, which smells amazing, but you can't really smell it when it is burning, unless you get quite close to it. Christmas eve, again is a very lovely scent, which reminds me so much of christmas, which is the point I guess, but either way! I can't quite pinpoint what the scent actually reminds me of, so if you have smelt this, let me know in the comments what you think it smells like!

This is a flashcard app which I have been using to revise for tests and to be honest, I think it saved my life! I find it really hard to sit down and revise as I simply just get bored and I don't end up taking the information that I need in. So I discovered this app where you can make flashcards and learn them, practice them and test yourself on them using test features and a match game. This was free, so if you find it hard to revise by reading something and you get a bit bored like me, definitely try this app!

Real Techniques Multi-Tasking brush

I got this brush as part of the christmas limited edition set and I love it! I find it great for sweeping on powder or applying blusher or bronzer! It is really soft and fluffy and it gives a nice even coating of whatever I'm applying to my face!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo On & On Bronze (I think this is the one I have)

I got this a couple of weeks ago and have actually fallen in love with it. If this is the one which I have (shade wise) it is a really soft beige colour, with a hint of brown to it. I really like this as a base colour, blended with a slight bit of Tanya Burr's Velvet Cushion and Tanya's Teddy bear through the crease.
This give such a nice brown smokey eye, which I am really loving at the moment! This was £4.99 and I would definitely buy more of these in different shades!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- 1 Fair

I wasn't sure on this at first, but I have actually come to really like it! I really like the coverage of it and the shade matches me perfectly. I originally thought that it would be a bit light, but I tried it because the next shade was a bit dark and it was perfect! This was £4.19 and definitely worth it! It stays really well and is just amazing!

Covers and Mashups

I have been watching a lot of covers and mashups over the past week and I have been obsessed with a few of them, so I thought I would link a few of them below instead of talking about them for ages:

The Weight of Seeing you again (Shawn Mendes andWiz Khalifa ft Charlie Puth)

I want to know what you did last summer (Shawn Mendes and Zedd)

The wild weight (Shawn Mendes and Troye Sivan)

Wildest Dreams vs Good for You (Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez)

Conor Maynard's Cover of Stitches

There are obviously loads more, but these are a few of the ones which I really liked!

Unicorn Horn

A couple of months ago, you may remember when I said I didn't really like Lush... I am now obsessed with their products! One which I really like at the moment is unicorn horn which is a really nice and calming lavender scent. In America, (I think?!) They have little starts in theirs, but in the UK we don't, which I was a little gutted about! Either way, I really liked this! It was a bubble bar and it created amazing bubbles! The lavender was really strong when it was in the packet, but once it was in the bath, it wasn't as strong which was really nice!

So thats it for my favourites this month! Let me know what you have been loving in the comments! I'm so sorry I haven't posted much in the past month, I will be going back to normal posts from now on! Thank you for sticking by! I love you all!

Hello Everybody!
I'm really sorry I haven't posted in quite a while! I have been quite busy and haven had much inspiration, so I didn't want to give you something really bad. I have been working on this post, so here it is... enjoy!
Recently, I have really enjoyed doing a gold smoky eye look, especially around this time of year. So today, I thought I would share with you how I achieve this look. In this tutorial post, I will only be using drugstore products, so the products which you get from places like Boots and Superdrug. Obviously, you don't have to use the same products as I am going to use, you can change it to suit your preference, whether that is more expensive or cheaper! The main focus of this tutorial is on the eyes, but I will also be sharing which products I use on the face and lips.

To begin with, I take the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in the shade ivory. I use the concealer stick and take it under the eyes, blending it using a Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush. This brush is great for concealer as it is quite small and precise. I prefer not to use it for foundation as it ends up taking longer and for me, I don’t find it covers as well as a bigger brush such as a buffing brush.
After I have blended the under eye concealer, I then move onto any spots and blemishes which might appear on the skin. To do this, I take the concealer and put it onto the back of my hand, as this way, it stops bacteria from spreading into the concealer pot. I use the same brush to blend this into the skin.

Next, I move onto the foundation. For this, I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in the shade ivory. I pump one full pump onto the back of my hand and use a Real Techniques Buffing Brush to buff it into the skin. After foundation, I take the Rimmel 24 hour stay matte powder in the shade transparent and use a Real Techniques Contour Brush (which I am not using for contour #brushrebel) and take this all over the skin. Finally on the skin, I take the Collection Sculpt and Highlight palette. Using the highlight, I take a small amount on a Real Techniques angled highlight brush and take it across the cheekbones. I then move onto the eyes aka my favourite part!

The first thing which I do is take Tanya Burr's Cream Tea from the Fairytale Eye Palette. I take this over the whole lid using a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush. I find that Cream Tea is a really nice base colour for most eyeshadows, especially the MUA ones. You don't have to do this, but I find it looks quite nice with a cream base. I then take the shade Aurora from the MUA Heaven and Earth Palette under my eyebrow using the same brush. This shade works really nicely as a highlight. I think that any cream colour which has a slight shimmer to it would work really nicely. Of course, you could also use a powder or liquid highlighter as well! Next, I take the shade Lion from the MUA Undressed Palette using the base shadow brush again. This shade is a really lovely gold and is the perfect colour for the base of a gold smokey eye. The Undressed Palette has some really nice colours, which I defiantly recommend if you want a cheap eyeshadow palette of good quality. Through the crease, I take the shade Bronze Ore from the MUA Undressed Palette, using (surprise, surprise!) the base shadow brush. For this, you just want to blend the colour just above the eye socket and wing it out slightly more in a triangle shape towards the outer corner of the eye. I then like the blend it a bit more using the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. I find that this gives it a nice smooth finish. I don't include eyeliner to this look on a regular basis, but if I do, I use a black crayon across my waterline. I also think this look would look really nice with a winger eyeliner, however, I don't actually have one which is actually any good at the moment! Of course, next I take my trusty Maybeline Falsies Mascara across my top and bottom lashes. I LOVE this mascara and I talk about it so much! I really recommend it! Finally, I move onto my lips, where I apply a coat of lip butter or lipstick. Usually, I go for either Rimmel Kate Moss 107 or Collection Lip Butter Vintage Rose.

I hope this tutorial has helped you and you enjoyed it! If you try it out, make sure you tweet me a picture, my twitter is @abbylouiseblog
Thank you for all of the support recently, it means a lot! I love you all!
